Still only a 4, and definitely not a 5-star Thai place. Some of the reviews calling this the best Thai food ever are overblown (I wouldn't trust their opinion on any food, let alone Thai food). That said, the kind of Thai food that was served when they opened was a lot more flavorful than the completely watered-down fare that they seem to serve the Walnut-Creek crowds these days. If you know your food, stay away from the appetizers. They are so badly done. In-fact they should take the fresh spring rolls, crispy rolls and chicken wings off the menu. Their version of the Salmon Chu Chee is made for the legacy American palate - extremely watered down. Had somewhat of a disappointing experience lately with some of the regular Thai fare - Green and Yellow curries, Tom Kha soup etc. The ambiance pulls the rating to a 4 for me, but this place is definitely heading into the mediocre Thai food club (typical of Walnut Creek). I'll probably frequent the San Ramon branch given the demography and the flavor preferences in that neck of the woods.

Im usually not the biggest fan of Thai food but this was a 10/10! My issue is that I feel like it's never spicy enough for me but here they have me all the spice! They had my nose running just the way I like lol. We came in during brunch hours on a sat morning and were still seated quickly. Service was fast and attentive and all staff were really friendly. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and it was the perfect amount of food without feeling overly full. That iced tea was refreshing and not overly sweet. Loved that they brought us some extra pineapple so I can give to my friends toddler without the spice.

Really delicious dishes, and everything tastes unique and not standard. The fire pork belly was very tasty. 5/5. So much flavor. Good amount of spice. Wasn't crispy by the time I ate it at home but it was still delicious. the peppercorn beef also delicious. 5/5. Yummy factor was there! Khua king Kai- ground meat with so much flavor. Nice ?kaffir lime leaf flavor. So complex. So yummy 5/5 Pad Thai - standard. Wasn't anything to write home about 3.5/5 Papaya salad -- Thai style. 3/5. Not very tasty. Was ok. Not the kinda papaya salad I crave. This one is mild and sweeter. I like the funkier savorier ones -- Laos style. The food is so delicious overall. The best Thai restaurant I've tried in the Bay Area by far!!! The parking tho -- is not a joke. They must literally have someone sitting in the lot waiting to catch everyone. I was in the restaurant for literally less than 5min just to pick up the food and by the time I got back to the car, I already had a ticket. Pirates are out to get your money so make sure not to run out of time and also pay even if it'll be a short stop for pickup.

I give Andaman 5/5! We came here for my mini baby shower with co-workers. We chose this place to meet halfways. Food was tasty and good with large portions. We ordered different entrees, from curry to coconut rice and spicy seafood, which all passed the taste test. Staff was friendly and attentive. Ambience was nice and family friendly. Parking was ample. We will definitely be back!

Wow. This place is AMAZING! Probably the best Thai food I've ever had. Everything is so fresh and flavorful and their presentation is true art. Came here for my dad's birthday and was surprised at how busy they were for a Sunday; now I know why. All staff are extremely accommodating and thoughtful; the place is clean with great decor. My only negative feedback is having to pay $9 for mango sticky rice, should be closer to 6-7$ and even thats a 200% mark up. Parking is super easy as they have their own lot, but it's metered so you have to pay. We will definitely be back!

We came here for Linner. There was not wait for a party of two. Beautiful modern decor. The food portions are very generous. The food was very flavorful. Plenty of vegan options for us. I would come back and would recommend this place. Service was good. We had drink refills without asking.

We did a quick search on yelp and this place showed up. We went on a hike nearby but it was really hot and starting to get dark so we decided to grab some food. I had no expectations for this place since I didn't really get a chance to look through the reviews or pictures but it was a very nice dinner overall. We were seated right away and there were so many art pieces that it took me a moment to take it all in. I felt kinda gross dining in because of the dirt that we trekked in from earlier but the server didn't seem to mind. I washed up a bit in the bathroom and it was pretty spotless in there. That tells a lot about the restaurant itself. For food, there were many options but we shared a few plates that included curry, rice and noodles. The portion size was perfect and flavor was really good. I'm always a sucker for anything curry.. I would come back here again if I'm in the area and adding it to my list for recommendations.

If there was a half star option I would give Andaman 4.5. The flavor on all the dishes are amazing. This place has arguably the best pad Thai in the area. Rich and complex flavors all around. The spicy level is very spicy here. Dish size/proportion is plentiful. So why one star off? Well mainly we have tried this place multiple times now. Dishes with protein options: beef, chicken, pork is often over cooked and dry on most dishes. All the seafood dishes are great and succulent. The only other caveat is that the Shrimp Pad Thai is a +$6 up charge which is pretty hefty over other places. Would expect a +$2-4 range standard. So the predicament for that dish is stay with dry meats or pay up. The Tofu madness is super spicy, they warned us ahead of time before ordering. Seafood champion is amazing with the savory and sweet seafood ingredients with a hint of spice. With the flavor, texture, and portioning of the dishes I would recommend Andaman.

Stopped in for lunch during prime Sunday lunch hour. The place was bustling, so I took this as a good sign AND sure enough, Andaman delivered! Food was fresh, flavorful and service was perfect. Dining room is well decorated, clean spacious. It was a little loud, but that's because of how busy it was. Will definitely make this a go-to spot! Looking forward to returning to work my way through the menu.
